The Katsuura morning market, where you can find seasonal seafood, is also a must-see.
With a history of over 400 years, it is one of the three major morning markets in Japan.
You will see stalls selling vegetables, fruits, and handicrafts. As the proverb goes, the early bird gets the worm.

Uminokaori
A quaint building over 40 years old was
transformed into a vacation home in 2023.
While preserving the traditional atmosphere, we have also made efforts to give it somewhat a modern feel.
The wet areas such as the bathroom and sinks are fully renovated with new fixtures. We also installed brand-new home appliances. It's the renovation fusing tradition and modernity.
We hope you will spend special time exclusive to the vacation home "Uminokaori."
Accomodations・Amenities
Except for the dining room, all the rooms are Tatami rooms where you can enjoy the scent of Igusa.
The second floor overlooks the ocean and offers a relaxing atmosphere with a subtle scent of the sea and gentle light.

- Katsuura Morning Market
- At the Katsuura morning market, you can taste fresh local produce.Katsuura was once recorded as the largest bonito catch in Japan, and its bonito sandwiches are exquisite.You can see many more specialties such as Katsuura tantanmen. The morning market is full of attractions.

- Ubara Risoukyo
- This is a typical rias coastline formed by the erosion of waves coming from the Pacific Ocean. The blue sea stretches out, making it an ideal scenic spot for a stroll. In the early Taisho era (1912-1926), there was a plan to turn this area into a vacation home, and it came to be called "Ideal Land. (There are various theories.) It is a 6-minute drive from Umi no Kaori. There is also a famous Katsuura tantanmen restaurant nearby, which you can enjoy together with hiking in Ubara Ideal Township.

- There is a wide variety of fish to be caught, including horse mackerel, sardine, mackerel, bluefin squid, and black sea bream. It is also a good place for surfin.Katsuura's Hebara Beach is the site of the World Surfing Championships, and offers a variety of surfing styles, from slow waves to dug-out tubby waves, depending on the swell and tide. In addition, you can enjoy SUP, yoga, scuba diving, snorkeling, cruising, and other activities in the rich natural environment of Katsuura's waters.

What time is the check-in/out time?
Please check in between 15:00 and 21:00, check out by 10:00.
Can I pay by credit card or other cashless payment
methods?
Yes, we accept credit cards. In addition to credit cards, we also accept bank transfers. Please inquire in advance if this is the case. We cannot accept payment for accommodation on site.

Is there a cancellation fee?
Cancellations are free of charge up until five days prior to the arrival date. If a cancellation is made four days or less before the arrival date, 100% of the accommodation fee will be charged. （For example） for a stay scheduled on August 15th, cancellations made from August 11th to 15th will incur a 100% charge.
Can I cancel my stay without notice?
No. No-shows without notice will be charged 100% for all nights.
Do you have a parking lot?
Parkings are available on-site and behind the building.We would be happy to direct you to the appropriate parking lot depending on the type of vehicle.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not allowed inside the building. If smoking is found inside the building, we will charge a cleaning fee and a nuisance fee. If you wish to smoke, please smoke outside the building and bring your own ashtray.
Can I use the Internet?
Yes, we have fiber optic internet access.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, but we do not allow pets to stay at this home.
Are meals included?
No, meals are not included.Please use the nearby restaurants or the kitchen in the building.
